eBiss OEM retail - the version for RMS
provider
Most of the retailers do
not have any IT skills. Their job is to sell products not to run
computers. Therefore the software has to be easy to use. But there are
some retailers who have more skills and want to influence their
processes to a certain degree. To handle this situation we made two
versions of the eBiss OEM retail software.
One - the standard version - is restricted to the predefined (by us and
the RMS provider) features. The retailer can access only the necessary
parts like partner editor and channel editior. Even these only through
an user interface of the RMS which guides him along in the most simple
way.
The other - the project
version - allows the access to many of the standard features of eBiss
and gives the retailer the possibility to add special features to the
predefined processes. But even here is a restriction. He can not change
the predefined areas to avoid any incompatibilities with the RMS.
The eBiss OEM retail
version consists of three different layers of components. The core
layer is delivered by us and will be maintained by updates from our
side. The provider layer is produced and added by the RMS provider. It
will be maintaned by the updates from the provider. The user layer
contains the individual data and components. No external maintenance is
done.
Live objects are the approriate way of integration. Only they open the
full scope of possibilities for your system. Maybe in the first step a
lower level is necessary to answer the demands of your customers but in
the long run you need deep integration.
The special retail
middleware and the abilities to fill certain fields indirectly by using
lookup tables smoothen the import processes inside your system. Many
checks are done outside and the repair process in case of error is
provided in easy way. This saves you a lot of development work compared
with standard EDI converters of older design.
