====== Channel - Create ======

To create a new communication channel, navigate within the communication area to the submenu Channels and select Create in the context menu or with the Create button. A list of available channels is then displayed.
Select the desired type by clicking on it. A new dialog opens with setting options for the corresponding channel.

{{:images:sign_warning.png?nolink|}}**Note:** Due to structure, all channels ((incoming and outgoing)) share the same standard parameters in the tab **Properties**.  For send channels the **Message box** and **Message direction** settings are obsolete and will have no effect. The reason for it is the job step [[en:prozessdefinition:jobs:jobsteps:kommunikation:channelsender]]((Only this job step uses the send channels.)) which acquires the messages from the previous job in the process and therefore the chosen **Message box** and **Direction** is irrelevant. However, since these two parameters are required from the GUI, something has to be specified here until further notice.
