By means of communication addresses, we understand the EDI addressing of a trading partner. That a unique electronic address (such as a [[wpde> Global_Location_Number | GlobalLocationNumber]], a 
[[http://egate.pranke.com | eGate]] subscriber number, etc.)) under which a trading partner belongs is reached.
According to general usage, it is also possible for a trading partner to have various electronic communication addresses.
These communication addresses are essential for the ** partner recognition ** during the [[en:prozessdefinition:jobs:jobsteps:allgemein:entityanalyzer | analyzer]] of a [[en:kommunikation:nachrichten:start| message]].
