Channels

Communication channels enable communication between eBiss and external peripherals such as hard drives or external services such as AS2, FTP, HTTP, POP3, SFTP, WEBDAV or X400. A distinction is generally made between incoming1) and outgoing2) channels.

Receive Channel

Entities can be read into the eBiss database3) with incoming communication channels

Send Channel

Entities can be uploaded with outgoing communication channels, e. g. into a hard disk directory or an email account.

List of communication channels

The list of communication channels shows the following attributes, which can be filtered with the Quick search:

  • Name
  • Channel type
  • communication direction
  • Messagebox
  • Public

Note: Database connections are implemented with the HowTo - database integration (DB adapter) and the corresponding job objects

General Properties

There are channel-spreading characteristics which are explained here:

Validation of the transmitter and/or recipient

Messages directional settings.

  • no selection = default setting, the PartnerTypsets are not considered.
  • optional = The partner is searched or identified and any communication address stored via type set is transferred to the channel.
  • required = The partner is searched for or identified and must also exist and any communication address stored via type set is transferred to the channel.
  • fix = The partner is defined in a new selection that appears and a new channel is created.
