During online activation, the eBiss service accesses port 80 of wss.pranke.com. If this access is not possible from the computer running the eBiss Service, e.g. due to firewall restrictions, the offline activation can be selected alternatively.

Note: eBiss 3 licenses are usually hardware bound and allow 5 hardware changes by default. The current hardware environment is checked against the hardware ID at runtime. If this does not match, Automation will stop runnin and the license must be reactivated with the license key.

Up to and including version 3.4.218 the hardware bound license is linked to:

• MAC address
• of the CPU info identifier
• Hard disk identification

of the server on which the eBiss service runs.

Starting with version 3.4.219 the hardware bound license is linked to:

• computer name,
• Serial Number
• Total physical memory
• Number of Cores
• Number of Logical Processors

of the server on which the eBiss service runs.

Note: When installing version 3.4.219 or later, no license update is required. The change of the license becomes effective only, if the license is activated with version 3.4.219, or a later version This means that eBiss will continue to run after an update to the new version and a hardware-bound license.
